Babessi Council is located in the Babessi Sub-Division of the Ngoketunjia Division, in the North West Region of Cameroon. Babessi town is situated along the Ring Road, lying approximately 75 km north-east of Bamenda via the Bamenda–Ndop–Babessi road axis. The council area is served mainly by this highway, which connects the municipality to the regional capital and other major towns in the Ngoketunjia Division, such as Ndop, while facilitating trade and movement within the fertile Ndop Plain.
